Meethaq Introduce E-PIN Process for Secure Banking
Islamic banking from Bank Muscat, Meethaq has launched an automated process for PIN creation and resetting for all its debit and credit cards. Meethaq is the most popular and largest Islamic Banking window in Oman. This new e-PIN feature allows customers to create and reset their PIN very easily in just a few simple steps through the Call Centre (IVR) or ATMs. So, customers don’t have to wait for a physically printed PIN to be collected from the branch or sent by post.
By this e-pin facility Customers can visit nearest Meethaq ATM to create or reset their PIN. After inserting their credit or debit card into the ATM, they can choose the ‘Create PIN’ option then an OTP will be immediately sent to their registered mobile number to authenticate the transaction. Then customer should enter the OTP on the ATM screen and they can set a new 4-digit number of their choice as the PIN. They will soon receive an SMS confirmation if they successful complete the process.
Customer can also call the Call Centre on 24656666 from his or her registered mobile number to create or reset their card PIN by and select the ‘Create or reset PIN’ option using the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system. Then customer should enter their 16-digit card number followed by its expiry date. After that they will receive an OTP on their registered mobile number. They should press 1 to enter the OTP and after that set a new 4-digit PIN of their choosing. The customer will receive a confirmation SMS once the PIN has been successfully generated.
